This Indian Pond reception was fun from the start. Mike & Liz entered the room to thunderous applause as Young M.C.’s “Bust a Move” set the groove. Their first dance was to Ray LaMontagne’s break out hit “You are the Best Thing”. The guests were ready and the new Mr. & Mrs. Watts didn’t disappoint. They didn’t waste an inch of the dance floor.
Above you’ll see their awesome fall themed cake. I loved the autumn leaves. But even better, below you’ll see the groom’s cake. Go Pats!!
From the very beginning, the giant dance floor at Indian Pond Country Club was packed!! It was a djs dream wedding. Below you’ll see some fun pics of the dancing.
This past Tuesday, July 26th, City Voter announced the results for “Best of” in the wedding categories. 5 Star Events was a late nomination for Boston’s Best Wedding DJ , matched up against many popular, seasoned pros. Also in our category were several of the larger multi-dj companies in MA that perform hundreds of events per year. For Dave & I to pull out a win, we would need our base of past & present clients, wedding professionals, & friends to step up and vote. I’m appreciative and humbled to say they did & in great numbers. With 31 nominees in the running 5 Star Events captured nearly 30% of the vote. So a big thank you to everyone who voted. It means the world to us!!
What a party!! When I met Brendan & Michelle, I knew their reception was going to be crazy. Up front, I was told there would be 4 hours of dancing and no slow songs!! Most receptions get 2 1/2 hours of dancing if we’re lucky. 4 hours is just AWESOME!!.
Michelle told me this was gonna be a party that wouldn’t stop & I believed her. I’ve driven by their house on several occasions when the street was lined on both sides with cars attending parties at her house. People everywhere, and you drive by the next morning, and everyone is still there. Let me tell you, this wedding lived up to the hype. It was ridiculous!! There was dancing, dancing and more dancing, oh and some drinking too!!
Check out the pictures. Some highlights included Bagpiper – Bob Ferguson for the ceremony, a monogram by creative uplighting (www.creativeuplighting.com), an entrance to Crazy Train by Ozzy and a Piano Man last song. I got to work with some long time friends including Nancy Green (www.nancygreen.com) and Reverend Donna Cunio. The Canoe Club Ballroom was the perfect place for this reception. In my mind, no better spot for a party.
